Hours: 2024-2025 Salary : Position: - Eight (8) hours per day
- Ten (10) month position

Paid time off: - Days are pro-rated based on start date with the District and are al located after successful completion of a 60-day probationary period.
- Three (3) personal leave days

GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To support the building administrators by performing a myriad of tasks. This position requires an individual to be able to multi-task responsibilities. It is critical that this position have excellent clerical, computer, interpersonal and organizational skills. The person in this position will be asked to execute building administrators' directives in a short period of time often with little supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Communications:
- Prepare daily and weekly bulletins (including absentees, early dismissals, homework requests, teacher announcements, etc.)
- Type communications for assistant principals
- Process suspension letters, bus letters, etc.
- Assist with phones and parents/visitors to the school
- Distribute messages to faculty and students
Clerical Functions:
- Process/distribute field trip lists
- Prepare programs for concerts and drama productions
- Track missing students, student paperwork, publicity/photo release and permission forms
- Prepare student handbook and "Buddy Day" materials
- Assist with distribution/collection of testing materials
- Update demographics in the school management system
OTHER FUNCTIONS: - Work effectively with office staff
- Maintain positive approach to job
- Completes other tasks assigned by building administrators
- Ability to work with matters of a confidential nature
QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma
- Experience working in an office
SPECIAL SKILLS: - Proficient computer skills using word document, spreadsheet & database
- Effective communication skills
PHYSICAL / MENTAL / ENVIRONMENTAL: Physical Demands:
- Sitting at desk for extended periods of time.
- Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and grasping.
- Light lifting of up to 15 pounds.
Sensory Abilities:
- Visual acuity to read correspondence and computer screens.
- Auditory acuity to be able to use telephone.
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.
Temperament:
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people.
- Must be cooperative, congenial, and service oriented.
