As a Security Officer – Hospital Unarmed Specialist in Monroeville, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and other assigned activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking identification as needed, and helping to direct visitors or staff within the location.
• Support the healthcare team and Allied Universal management by communicating any security-related issues promptly and professionally.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have received all required vaccinations as mandated by the hospital.
• Must be able to assist with the restraint of individuals in a hospital setting.
• Must be able to work in or around hospital morgue environments.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
