Senior Accountant (Temporary - Hybrid)

Reston, VA

Salary: $40 - $43 / hour

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Assist with external audits and provide requested documentation
• Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or progress toward certification preferred
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP)
