Volt is immediately hiring for a Senior Electrical Estimator in Canoga Park, CA.
As a
Senior Electrical Estimator, you will:
- Prepare complete and accurate electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Perform detailed take-offs and review project specifications.
- Deliver estimates within required bid deadlines.
- Source competitive vendor quotes based on project plans and specs.
- Draft and submit RFIs for clarification on project details.
- Research competitors and general contractors involved in bids.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings to present estimating strategies.
- Manage multiple estimates simultaneously and support other estimators as needed.
- Attend job walks and pre-bid conferences as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all estimating data and strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors.
- Attend industry workshops and training events as approved.
This is a
full time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Over five years of experience in electrical estimating, including a minimum of two years in a senior or lead role.
- Skilled in using industry-standard estimating software, such as Accubid, Bluebeam, McCormick, or ConEst.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes and construction methodologies, with a strong ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, organizational abilities, and clear communication skills.
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Salary: $100,000 - $180,000 per year. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
