Are you a skilled Front-End Developer eager to modernize mission-critical systems? NS2 Mission is looking for a motivated and self-driven Front-End Software Developer to join our team in Herndon, VA. This role involves re-architecting a large-scale access control system, transitioning from Grails to a cutting-edge, cloud-based framework. You will enhance the user experience while maintaining and expanding the system’s core functionality in collaboration with mission partners.

If you have expertise in Angular and a solid grasp of client-side and server-side web frameworks, this role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact. A full-stack development background is highly desirable.

• Modernize the front-end experience of a mission-critical access control system using Angular.
• Collaborate with the development team to maintain existing capabilities while designing and implementing new features.
• Partner with mission stakeholders to ensure the system meets evolving requirements.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure and services to build scalable and efficient solutions.
• Debug and optimize web applications for performance and usability.
• Ensure quality through unit and integration testing.

• Experience: 8-12 years in software development with a focus on front-end development.
• Education:
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of specialized experience, or six additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in building web applications using frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Hands-on experience working in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Puppet, and Nexus.
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.

• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with back-end programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and with mission partners.

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with FSP
