About the Role

This Senior Operations Manager position is crucial in driving operational excellence from the company's Miami gateway. Reporting into the Director of Operations, the role involves managing equipment and shipment tracking across multiple modes, coordinating with key gateways and multimodal partners, and ensuring end-to-end compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-driven, and experienced in high-volume regional trade lanes, particularly in the Caribbean.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage international shipment files, ensuring alignment with operational standards and client expectations
• Oversee equipment logistics, including proactive repatriation and coordination with connecting carriers
• Maintain real-time shipment tracking dashboards to identify delays and lead contingency planning
• Collaborate with transshipment gateways to optimize service connectivity and transit flows
• Coordinate vendor activities across sea, air, and trucking providers to ensure timely delivery
• Review and approve vendor invoices, resolving disputes to maintain service and cost integrity

Candidate Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, NVOCC, or liner operations
• Prior exposure to the Caribbean market strongly preferred
• Strong critical thinking and analytical decision-making capabilities
• Proven urgency in resolving operational issues and client-facing challenges
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential
• Exceptional interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
• Sound geographical understanding of logistics networks in the Americas
• Must be based in the U.S. with full work authorization
