Job Title: Senior Python Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – ~4 days/week onsite preferred)

We are seeking a Senior Hands-on Python/Kubernetes Developer to join our high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-driven technologist who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys solving complex problems using modern technologies.

You will play a key role as an individual contributor , collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams (US, Canada, India) to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Python, Kubernetes, and SQL , and demonstrates maturity, organization, and strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python and Kubernetes
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability
• Collaborate with global teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements
• Work independently as a senior-level developer while actively contributing to team success
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems and processes
• Maintain and optimize complex SQL queries and data models
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure code meets high standards of quality, security, and compliance

Required Qualifications:

• 6–8+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, and SQL
• Strong track record as an individual contributor in fast-paced development environments
• Experience working with distributed teams across geographies and time zones
• Highly organized and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and professional client-facing presence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or exposure to Financial Services / Payments domain is a strong plus
• (e.g., familiarity with SWIFT MT and MX messages , ISO 20022, wire transfer systems)
• Prior experience in high-volume, secure backend systems in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Location Preference:

• Strong preference for candidates in the NY Tristate area who can work onsite in Jersey City, NJ ~4 days/week
