You will play a key role as an individual contributor , collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams (US, Canada, India) to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Python, Kubernetes, and SQL , and demonstrates maturity, organization, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python and Kubernetes
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability
- Collaborate with global teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements
- Work independently as a senior-level developer while actively contributing to team success
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems and processes
- Maintain and optimize complex SQL queries and data models
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure code meets high standards of quality, security, and compliance
Required Qualifications:
- 6–8+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, and SQL
- Strong track record as an individual contributor in fast-paced development environments
- Experience working with distributed teams across geographies and time zones
- Highly organized and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and professional client-facing presence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or exposure to Financial Services / Payments domain is a strong plus
- (e.g., familiarity with SWIFT MT and MX messages , ISO 20022, wire transfer systems)
- Prior experience in high-volume, secure backend systems in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Location Preference:
- Strong preference for candidates in the NY Tristate area who can work onsite in Jersey City, NJ ~4 days/week
