Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join their team! This position is located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Duties:

• Installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs
• Performing routine database maintenance
• Creating and scheduling SQL Server jobs to perform database maintenance activity
• Rebuilding indexes
• Updating statistics
• Performing consistency checks
• Monitoring error logs and event logs for database errors
• Acting as the Index Tuning Advisor, SQL Server Configuration Manager and the SQL Server Profiler
• Responsible for Extended Events, Performance Monitor, Dynamic Management View, SQL Server Broker Service, Linked Servers, MSDTC, SQL Server System Databases and Database Mail
• Performing SQL Server Health Checks and Policies
• Managing SQL Server security and auditing
• Authenticating methods
• Performing SQL Server and database auditing
• Encrypting at rest, transit, and backup
• Maintaining and managing SQL Server disk space to ensure storage is properly utilized
• Managing disk storage for Windows Failover Cluster Service (WFSC)
• Establishing standards and schedules for database backups
• Developing recovery procedures to meet RPO and RTO
• Restoring databases with point in time recovery
• Creating and testing disaster recovery plans

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 6+ years of experience with SQL server 2016, or later versions database administration
• 4+ years windows server administration experience
• Experience with FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and application maintenance
• Familiarity with industry security standards such as: PUB1075, FIPS, and PII
• Cloud computing knowledge
• Cloud storage, backup, and restore mechanisms
• Firewall administration and maintenance
• Active Directory knowledge such as: GPO, FQDN, DNS Server, SPN
• Email, SMTP, and Proxy Server troubleshooting
• Web Services development and support
• Availability to provide 24 hour support
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficient in TSQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies

The approximate pay range for this position is between $37.00 and $54.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
