Join our team at Luna Café, as a Counter Server and help us deliver personalized service and genuine hospitality to our valued guests! As a Counter Server, your primary responsibility will be to take care of guests from the moment they walk in until they leave, promoting the upbeat attitude and warmth that Luna Café is known for. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing our mission to provide exceptional service and create memorable experiences for our clientele.

Position Information : Part-Time, 14.70 hourly rate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and interact with guests, ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit
• Take accurate orders and efficiently serve guests
• Develop in-depth knowledge of our menu, mercantile items, and local area to assist guests
• Complete shift checklists and maintain cleanliness and organization of the café
• Process transactions and handle cash accurately
• Stock and maintain inventory of café and mercantile items
• Provide timely feedback to management regarding customer experiences
• Accommodate special requests whenever possible
• Develop genuine relationships with guests, especially repeat customers
• Adhere to food safety standards and company policies

Qualifications:

• Restaurant experience is a plus, but not required (on-the-job training provided)
• Barista experience is beneficial, but not mandatory
• Food handler's permit and OLCC permit required (or ability to obtain them)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for long periods (5-8 hours) and lift up to 30 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a changing work environment
