Position Purpose:

To assist the Sales and Marketing department in the coordination and execution in the areas of marketing, social media, public relations, sales and advertising for the hotel, outlets and spa This position will directly support marketing leadership through the ongoing completion of both routine and as assigned projects that support the aforementioned disciplines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage social media channels for the hotel, outlets and spa. Assist with online content strategy development and implementation; manage online content calendars while developing and collecting materials from appropriate resources to support this mission.


  • Responsible for implementing and measuring effectiveness of annual plans for social media tactics objectives while also growing all assets for the resort, outlets, Seagar's and spa.


  • Execute photo shoots with food and beverage team. Gather new content for social media channels, website and image database daily.


  • Ensure hotel imagery is updated and accurate across all online listings and websites. When needed, assist in coordinating or executing property visits for media. Attend industry events on behalf of the hotel as needed.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

•Work with the Director of Marketing to ensure the hotel, outlets and spa have all graphic design needs taken care of and keep all websites fresh and current.

•Flexibility in working with the unique demands of sales and marketing business cycles,

which includes irregular hours and extra-ordinary hours at times

•Keep abreast, recommend and implement new social media solutions

•The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously is critical to the success of this position and is therefore required. This team member must possess a high level of administrative and organizational skills.

Other:

This position will perform critical and highly visible functions for the hotel, outlets and spa and will often represent management through the management of vendor relationships, area functions and inter-departmental interactions. As such, this position requires the team member to have strong ethics, professionalism and self-discipline at all times. It is also vital for this team member to be adept at interfacing with various levels of internal and external customer organizations to insure accurate, timely and effective communication that translate into strong outcomes and accountability.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

•Adept understanding of all key social media and reputation channels such as Tiktok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, Trip Advisor, and other emerging channels.

•Adept at various marketing-centric computer program including Microsoft platforms such as Power Point, Excel and Publisher, Adobe design suite products including Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

•Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Photo and video shooting and editing skills are essential.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education: College degree required.

Experience: Hotel-related experience or media relations/agency experience is preferred but not required.

Licenses or certificates: None required.

Grooming: Professional attire is required with few exceptions, as appropriate.
