Job Description
Vendor Experience:
- The IT PM will need to have experience working with vendors and be capable of holding FIS accountable, when necessary, throughout the project.
Understanding RP and IT PM Relationship:
- Since OMNI is a business product, it's crucial for the IT PM to have a true understanding of the relationship between the RP Business PM and the IT PM.
- RP will be heavily engaged in both support and management, so the IT PM needs to effectively collaborate and communicate with the RP team to ensure partnership, alignment, and success.
Technical Proficiency:
- The IT PM will need to gain an understanding of the OMNI platform, including its architecture, functionalities, and integration points.
Collaboration & Communication:
- The IT PM will need to be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business teams, technical team and FIS and IBM as vendors.
- Communication will be a large part of this effort (i.e. - various status reports, updates, alignment, escalation, etc.)
Problem-Solving, Adaptability and Flexibility:
- The IT PM will need to be proactive in identifying and resolving issues or challenges that may arise during the effort.
- They will need to be able to adapt to changing project requirements and able to pivot as needed.
Strong Leadership:
- The IT PM should possess strong leadership skills to guide the project team, make informed decisions, and drive the project towards successful completion.
- Setting clear expectations, providing direction, and motivating the team will be a large part of their role.
