Job Description
Spherion Staffing is looking for experienced Fabricators in the Sioux Falls area. The Fabricator position creates the structural steel products by operating machine shop equipment and welding. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to produce high-quality finished products.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-4:30pm OR 7am-5:30pm, Friday OT as needed (currently 1/2 day)
Pay $20-24/hour DOE and shift
Responsibilities:
-Complete the ordered products per project specifications in an efficient and safe manner
-Lay out, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using knowledge of welding techniques and engineering requirements
-Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the fabrication supervisor
-Accurately report time tracking for project costs
-Communicate progress status to fabrication supervisor for scheduling
-Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
-Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance from fabrication supervisor
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
