Looking for Steel Fabricator/Welders in Vancouver, WA for a manufacturing project. Long term position, 6 months temp to hire. Will need to take and pass weld test, it’s a 3/8 mild steel plate in the 2G (horizontal) position full penetration weld with backing. Candidate will fit and weld their own test. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 5am-3:30pm, $25-32. Will need to pass background/drug screen.

Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of experience working in a steel manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fitting/fabricating structural steel, plate work, and custom fabrications.
• Experience with steel fabrication techniques, steel grades, and shapes.
• Experience maximizing the utilization of materials and minimizing waste of materials.
• Pass or Possess weld certifications.
• Efficiently work within budget
• Lift 50-90 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Duties include:

• Plan and prepare jobs, layout material, execute work.
• Read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings.
• Read and understand weld symbols.
• Safely rig components for lifting.
• Fabricate, assemble, and inspect components.
