Job Description

Salary: $ 65,000.00

We have partnered with a Retail company in the Knoxville, TN area to provide them with an Architectural Textile Designer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Textile Designer:

#1. Must have at least 5yrs relevant work experience in print & pattern (preferably leather goods or accessories)

#2. Must have Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

#3. Must have experience in trend forecasting

#4. No more than 3 jobs in the last 10yrs.

Requirements of the Textile Designer:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or Graphic Design
• Minimum 5+ years' relevant work experience in print & pattern (preferably leather goods or accessories)
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong illustration or painting skills
• Team player attitude and strength in building positive working relationships
• Strong sense of color and color palettes
• Experience in trend forecasting
• Ability to be creative and technical
• Understanding of the design and development process from inception through final adoption
• Proactive problem-solving and information seeking-skills
• Strong Multi-tasking skills and adaptability
• Experience communicating and collaborating with factories
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
• Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented
• Broad understanding of the leather goods or accessories industry *Preferred*

Other Key Requirements:

• Onsite role
• No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
