Patient Care Technician - Dialysis Outpatient Clinic 12 Months minimum recent dialysis experience required. Provide the direct, patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist licensed nurse with pre and post dialysis patient assessments and their documentation. Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets. Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment. Previous patient care experience in a hospital/clinical setting or related facility preferred; Dialysis procedures/treatments and machine experience is required. Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis. Education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques preferred. Shift details : Shifts will be discussed in detail during the interview; the role requires a commitment of 40 hours plus overtime and floating to area sites as need be. Late to shift Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
