Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, aortography, embolization, and stent placement
• Scrub into endovascular cases to assist surgeons during procedures
• Operate and maintain Siemens equipment during cases
• Run c-arm equipment in open rooms for vascular surgeons during open vascular cases
• Utilize PACS system to pull up and review imaging
• Perform laser assisted procedures and vascular interventions
• Conduct various angiographic procedures including carotid stenting, renal angiography, and extremity angiography
• Place and remove IVC filters and perform central venous access/port placement
• Perform dialysis graft creation/revision and interventions including fistulograms and declots
• Execute thrombolysis and thrombectomy procedures
• Utilize vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose
• Maintain sterile field and scrub technique during procedures
• Set up equipment and prep access sites for procedures
• Provide accurate patient monitoring during interventions
• Maintain and stock equipment and supplies inventory
• Follow isolation precautions and sterile technique protocols
• Document procedures using Epic charting system
• Take call one night per week and every third weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float between units within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain current ARRT certification (R and VI OR R and CV)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments when required
