THE ROLE: We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Field Construction Welder to join our team, specializing in the construction and installation of wastewater treatment equipment. This role involves working with a variety of raw materials to fabricate, fit up, and weld components, ultimately constructing and installing complex wastewater systems on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in various welding techniques, and a comprehensive understanding of construction principles as applied to industrial equipment. This position requires hands-on experience in fitting and fabrication, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in diverse field environments.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: \n - Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
\n - FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, welding from blueprints outdoors in various environments A36 and 304LSS
\n - Interprets engineered drawings - Follows red-line process, recommends modifications and improvements when applicable using weld symbols and dimensions
\n - Troubleshoots and repair machine and equipment failures
\n - Performs Senior Field Construction Tech responsibilities
\n - Understands established quality standards
\n - Performs basic operations using hand and power tools including but not limited to chipping hammers and grinders
\n - Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
\n - Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner
\n - Submitting expense reports for per diem through Concur System weekly

QUALIFICATIONS: \n - High School Diploma or GED certificate
\n - 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
\n - Proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAW-P, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding from blueprints.
\n - Ability to read and interpret blueprints
\n - Operation of various hand and power tools
\n - Must be able to obtain AWS certifications, training provided
\n - Ability to take direction and execute typical construction activities and task
\n - Weld ability to pass hydro testing
\n - 100% Travel
\n - Able to Drive a Company Vehicle
\n - Able to complete OSHA 10 Requirements
\n - Able to Obtain TWIC Card
\n

***The estimated pay range for this position is $22/hr. to $26/hr.. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
