Alabama Oncology is looking for a full time experienced LPN or RN triage nurse to join our dedicated team of professionals. The position requires excellent clinical, communication, computer and telephone skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

• Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients.
• Accurately documents symptoms, and response to treatments and interventions provided.
• Prioritizes incoming calls from patients, and providers.
• Assesses nature of patient phone calls, and follows through with appropriate intervention.
• Documents assessments, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in the medical record.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Familiarity with health care regulations, policies and functions.

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as an LPN in an office setting preferred.
