Job Description
Our client is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes food to a network of more than 870 feeding partners across seven counties: Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. These partners include food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, schools, healthcare sites and more. Mobile distributions, home deliveries and nutrition programs extend this reach even further, helping ensure that nutritious food gets to neighbors where and when it’s needed most. But food is just the beginning. Through innovative programs, the organiztion helps address the root causes of hunger. They have sophisticated training programs that prepare adults facing barriers to employment for sustainable careers in the food industry, while the while helping neighbors access SNAP and other nutrition resources to stretch limited budgets. With the support of generous donors, dedicated volunteers and a caring community, our client provided enough food for 82 million meals last year.
The client has an immediate opening for a Cherry Picker Operator on a contract to direct assignment.
Experience on Cherry Picker Forklift Required
Willing to work a flexible shift.
Willing and able to stand at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
At least 6 months experience operating motorized material handling equipment.
At least 6 months experience entering and retrieving data in an inventory
Key Responsibilities:
Execute core warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Ensure all tasks are performed in alignment with contract performance standards and productivity goals.
Accurately pick and pack orders, audit shipments, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
Manage and process warehouse documentation such as picking sheets, return forms, and bills of lading.
Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core production hours.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
