Warehouse Technician Fellow

HOW A WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN FELLOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Position ships, receives and stores materials in a warehouse or storage facility.
• Receives and stores materials in a warehouse or storage facility in an organized manner and convenient location for removal when needed.
• Marks or tags articles as necessary for identification purposes.
• Retrieves stored material when requested, transports it to the requester, and returns material to storage as required.
• Develops and maintains effective warehouse storage practices that promote efficient storage, identification and retrieval.
• Maintains warehouse and shipping records and may use automated warehouse management system.
• Must operate hand and power equipment, including forklift, for material handling.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Facilitate in the planning and execution of container loads including weight balancing and bracing.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related warehouse experience.
• Security Clearance Level: Active Secret Clearance
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required
• This is a hands-on position. Candidate must comfortable in an active warehouse environment using power tools, forklifts, pallets, jacks, saws, and/or drills.

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

• Has served at least 180 days on active duty
• Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement
• Will receive an honorable discharge
• Has taken any service TAP/TGPS
• Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months

Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the fellowship.
