Warehouse/Delivery Driver Summary: Meet or exceed customer's expectations by delivering material to correct destination timely, while representing Cape Electrical Supply in a friendly, professional manner. Perform all job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner by complying with state and local driving laws and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately deliver product to proper destination Safely drive company vehicle following all laws, rules, and regulations Maintain company vehicle to meet all safety requirements of state and DOT Load/unload trucks as needed using appropriate equipment and safe lifting procedures Deliver a great experience to all customers and fellow co-workers with a friendly, helpful attitude Assist with any warehouse duty including picking orders, stocking merchandise, and warehouse maintenance Requirements: Must have or be able to obtain a Class E driver's license and medical card Ability to drive a truck with manual transmission A clean driving record for 3 years Good time management and problem-solving skills Effective customer service skills to communicate with customers and co-workers Ability to work in a team environment Positive attitude and high energy level Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the tasks necessary to pick, pack, ship and receive material in the warehouse, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire and lifting and carrying material up to 70 lbs. Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence for the appropriate company vehicle and pass the DOT medical exam. Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts to move material through the warehouse. Must follow all safety requirements. Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Working Conditions: Exposure to various road, traffic, and inclement weather conditions while driving. Warehouse environment. May be exposure to dust, heat or cold, and other seasonal changes. Pay Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $19/hour depending on experience.
