Wound Care Physician

MCR Health is seeking an experienced Physician for its established Wound Care team in Bradenton, FL. Provider must be well versed in advanced wound care methods including wound VAC and skin substitutes.

As part of this role, you will:

• Examine, assess, prescribe, and treat patients within scope of practice
• Debridement of wounds by sharp, enzymatic and autolytic.
• Application and management of topical wound care and associated wound management products
• Diabetic Foot Ulcer risk assessment for Members with Diabetes, as per the ADA guidelines
• Direction and recommendation of associated services to improve wound healing outcomes. This includes but not limited to labs, radiologic tests, vascular tests, referrals, home health care, VAC device, and/or orthotics.
• Interpretation of diagnostic tests and recommendation of appropriate follow up to same.
• Recommendations for prescription of required medications and/or Durable Medical Equipment or supplies (DME) to facilitate wound healing and/or wound prevention.
• Educate our patients on preventative care, the topical and systemic management of their wounds and prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with care team in assessing, planning, and implementing the patient's care plan

What you need to bring to this role:

• Graduate of an approved Medical or Osteopathic School
• Current Florida license
• Current DEA certificate
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Must be able to obtain hospital privileges
• Member of National Practitioner Data Bank Query
