Store: Family Dollar General Summary: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. A key priority includes assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers positively. Answer questions and resolve inquiries. Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service. Ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and inviting. Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices and procedures. Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store. Assist in ordering merchandise and record keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Support loss prevention efforts. Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Follow all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives. Experience in retail management, preferably in grocery or drug stores. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs; capable of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Availability to work flexible, full-time hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
