About Us

FaZe Media is a dynamic, fast-growing entertainment and media company at the forefront of innovative content creation and global brand collaborations. We thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where creativity meets strategy, and our legal team plays a pivotal role in fueling our ambitious growth. If you aspire to contribute to a collaborative, high-impact team that values bold ideas and agile problem-solving, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Associate Counsel with specialized experience in talent contracts, brand sponsorship deals, and trademarks to join our Legal Department. Reporting directly to our General Counsel, you will support the negotiation, drafting, and management of high-profile agreements while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across creative, business development, and marketing teams. This remote, full-time role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a focus on fostering strong cross-functional partnerships in a vibrant, entrepreneurial culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate talent contracts, including partnership agreements, brand sponsorship deals, and other commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk mitigation.
  • Advise on brand sponsorship deals, including licensing arrangements, co-branding initiatives, and promotional campaigns, from inception through execution.
  • Manage trademark matters, including conducting clearance searches, preparing and filing applications, responding to office actions, and enforcing rights against potential infringements.
  • Collaborate with internal lawyers, executives, and external counsel to provide proactive legal guidance on complex deals, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property strategies.
  • Conduct due diligence on partners, vendors, and talent to identify and resolve potential legal risks.
  • Support litigation and dispute resolution related to contracts and IP, as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in entertainment law, sponsorships, and trademarks to inform strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months).
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in talent contracts, brand sponsorships, and trademarks, preferably in-house at a media, entertainment, or agency company, or at a top-tier law firm.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end deal processes with a focus on practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including creative and business professionals, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for entrepreneurial settings, with a history of contributing to innovative projects or startups where adaptability and initiative are key.
  • Familiarity with digital media, social platforms, and emerging IP issues in influencer marketing.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and unlimited PTO.
  • Fully remote work with flexible hours to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional growth on a supportive, collaborative team that values diverse perspectives and bold thinking.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge projects that shape the future of entertainment and branding.

FaZe Media is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from candidates who bring unique experiences and viewpoints to our team.

We look forward to hearing how your expertise can help drive our next chapter of innovation!
