The Flying Boxcars play at Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Maryland. The locally owned, state-of-the-art facility was named the 2024 and 2025 'Ballpark of the Year' in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, celebrating its 27th anniversary this year. The ownership of Downtown Baseball LLC is dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Hagerstown and providing the community a place to live, work and play. The organization is looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals to join the Flying Boxcars team and be part of an amazing process in creating memories for all of Hagerstown and the surrounding communities.

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, polite, respectful and hard working
• Current Driver's License; successful completion of a background check
• Responsible individual with sound judgement
• Completing or have completed a four-year college degree strongly preferred (Sport Management, Marketing, Business, Communications or another related field.
• Team Player that must work well in team setting and individually
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must be able to work long hours including weekends in the height of the season
• Candidate must be able to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time
• Candidate must be able to handle weather related elements such as rain and heat

2026 Game-Day Internship - College Credit

The Game Day Internship is focused on Flying Boxcars games and non-baseball events throughout the season. This will introduce interns to all game day roles and allow them to work alongside front office staff members. By experiencing multiple departments, this internship is designed to assist interns in choosing a specific direction they might be interested in, while receiving great practical, hands-on experience.

Please note that this internship is intended for college credit.

The Flying Boxcars will hire multiple interns in the following departments:

• Broadcasting (NEW)
• Community Relations/Promotions
• Groups/Events
• Marketing/Corporate Sales
• Stadium Operations
• Merchandise/Ticketing
