Position: Technical Estimator – Commercial Roofing

Location: Lake Worth, FL

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 Base + Benefits + Growth Opportunity

Tiello has partnered with a leading Commercial Roofing Contractor in the West Palm, FL area that is seeking an experienced Technical Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in accurately preparing detailed estimates and proposals for commercial reroof and new construction projects , ensuring precision, compliance, and profitability across all bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating & Takeoffs: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment on commercial roofing projects (TPO, Mod-Bit, EPDM, coatings, BUR, etc.).
• Bid Preparation: Develop complete, accurate, and competitive bids, proposals, and scopes of work.
• Technical Analysis: Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts for technical accuracy and constructability.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, field teams, and company leadership to ensure smooth handoff and project alignment.
• Process Management: Maintain organized bid records, cost histories, and performance data for future estimating reference.
• Client Interaction: Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, architects, and GCs to clarify scopes and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating (reroof and new construction).
• Strong technical acumen and ability to interpret detailed drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Proficiency in The EDGE or similar estimating software (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Mod-Bit, BUR, coatings, etc.).
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) .
