The Town of Shipshewana is looking to hire a dependable and motivated Part-Time Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of various town facilities. This role requires a flexible schedule, as duties will include daily and seasonal cleaning across multiple locations, including the Town Hall, Wolfe Building, Police Department, Fire Station, parks & sports fields and public restrooms. The position is part-time, with a varying weekly schedule of up to 30 hours.
Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in town facilities, restocking supplies, and ensuring the safe and effective operation of cleaning equipment. The custodian will be tasked with daily upkeep of high-traffic areas, as well as periodic deep cleaning and maintenance of sports facilities during peak seasons. The ideal candidate should have good time management skills, the ability to follow instructions, and be comfortable operating a variety of cleaning tools.
