Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Recycling Operations to lead our operational strategies and initiatives. This pivotal role will oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in process improvement.

Looking for a strong leader with at least 7+ years’ experience in recycling operations management.

Duties

• Manage and supervise all operational activities across various departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Drive business development efforts to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
• Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee project management efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Develop and execute strategic planning initiatives that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Monitor profit & loss statement; budget forecasting & management.
• Foster a culture of leadership within the organization by mentoring and developing team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an operations leadership role within waste recycling industry.
• Strong skills in managing teams, supervising staff, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in recycling operations & MRF experience.
• Experience with municipal & government relations is a plus.
• Exceptional strategic planning abilities with a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A strong leadership presence that inspires confidence and motivates teams toward achieving organizational goals.
