Accounts Receivable Specialist
Madesmart Housewares, a woman-owned, friendly, and innovative housewares company based in St. Paul, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to our financial operations, requiring a proactive approach to collections, financial statement management, and best business practices in general accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform the full accounts receivable process, including billing, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Perform collections activities, working closely with clients to ensure timely payment and resolve outstanding balances.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and year-end reports to support the owner's oversight.
• Conduct cash flow analysis, budget oversight, and sales forecasting to support financial health and company growth.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance best business practices, ensuring accurate, efficient, and transparent AR operations.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot AR-related issues, maintaining meticulous records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Maintain and documenting all processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections, ideally within the retail or manufacturing sector.
• Strong skills in cash flow analysis, budget management, and sales forecasting.
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements and balance sheets, with an understanding of year-end reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
