Job Description

Seeking an IL licensed Immigration Attorney with 1-3 years experience actively practicing immigration law. 95% of our practice is immigration, but 5% of our practice includes uncontested divorces for our existing immigration clients as well as obtaining predicate orders in family and probate court for SIJS clients. Hence, the candidate absolutely must be licensed in IL – candidates who are not licensed in IL will not be given consideration. Full benefits as detailed below are also offered.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

1) Candidates who share our strong PASSION to change the lives of our immigrant clients each and every day! We work with multi ethnic clients from all over the world, who have immigrated to tho the US. Every member of our team is driven by a passion for the work we do.

2) Candidates with a minimum of one (1) year of experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a variety of case types ranging across family-based, employment-based, humanitarian, and removal defense.

4) Candidates who are excellent communicators, have strong research and writing skills, are extremely organized, and are incredibly attentive to detail.

5) Candidates who are seeking great flexibility with regards to being able to exercise independent decision-making and control over strategy and direction of cases on his/her plate, but who are excited by creative lawyering!

6) A Candidate who ideally lives in the City of Chicago, and who is licensed to practice law, in good standing, in the State of IL.

7) Preference will be given to bilingual candidates fluent in both English & Spanish.

Minimum starting salary that would be offered is $60,000-70,000, but actual salary offer will depend upon candidates experience and may be higher than minimum range.

Also willing to consider applicants with 5+ years experience in a senior attorney role - salary will be commesurate with experience.
