The Cleveland State University Police Department (CSUPD) is responsible for creating a safe and secure environment across campus. We are currently accepting applications for Lateral Transfers! To be considered, applicants must be Ohio Police Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) Certified and currently employed as a sworn law enforcement officer in Ohio, part-time or full-time. University Police Officers provide law enforcement, security, public safety, and traffic safety services in a community policing environment. Officers are state certified, commissioned law enforcement professionals reporting directly to a shift sergeant. Responsibilities include patrolling campus, investigating incidents, completing reports, assisting with prosecutions, testifying in court, conducting security inspections, securing campus facilities, managing traffic, responding to emergencies, and maintaining public trust through positive relations.
