Rad Tech / Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Tech ( RT / RCIS ) - Full Time

SUMMARY OF JOB:

• Operates/monitors all types of Cath Lab equipment under the supervision of the Cath Lab physician and/or Clinical Unit Coordinator.

• Assists the physician and nursing personnel during Diagnostic & Interventional catheterization procedures.

• Provides various types of patient care in the Cardiovascular Lab under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

• There are times, based upon unusual work volume (increase or decrease), emergencies, or severe weather conditions, when it will become necessary for you to accept and perform a work assignment or assist with tasks which are outside of your regular duties or cross trained assignment in which you possess the basic knowledge and skill to perform the assignment safely.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited school of Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology.
• ARRT or CVT/RCIS Certification preferred.
• 6 months of Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology/Catheterization procedure experience. Will consider graduates of CVT programs with extensive clinical rotations.
• Successful completion of basic EKG Arrhythmia course or equivalent training & experience.
• Current BLS certification.  ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts and/or on-call hours when required.

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Pennsylvania AART or CVT/RCIS registration preferred.
• CPR and ACLS certifications
