Overview IMMEDIATE HIRE FOR RIG WELDER - must pass weld test(s) and pass a drug test. TESTING FOR MULTIPLE PROJECTS. Responsibilities A RIG WELDER will be required to perform a variety of skilled duties as assigned by the foreman or superintendent varying from moderately difficult to complex. Build, repair, and modify steel structures and pipelines. Qualifications A RIG WELDER is required to have at least two years’ experience in a fast-paced construction site environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a Welding Certificate is a plus but not accepted in lieu of testing. A RIG WELDER may be required to provide additional certifications or licenses depending on the area of assignment. A valid state driver’s license with current insurance coverage is required. A fully equipped welding rig is required. A RIG WELDER must be able to pass PAL-CON’s weld test(s), any client’s weld test(s) (as applicable), and a DOT drug test. Work Schedule & Benefits The standard work hours will be determined by the superintendent. Typical field work schedule is Monday through Saturday, 10 hour days; however, hours may vary depending on production requirements. This position is subject to a 90 day introductory period; all benefits are subject to eligibility. A RIG WELDER will receive wages, rig rental (as applicable), and per diem (as applicable).
