PositionQualifications(minimum):

• Excellentquantitativeandanalyticalskills.
• AnassociatesorbachelorsdegreeinrelatedfieldoranElectricalJourneymansLicense.
• Strongcomputerskills,toincludeMicrosoftofficeproductsandBluebeam,withtheabilitytolearnnewsoftwarequickly.
• WorkingknowledgeoftheNationalElectricCodeandelectricaltheory.
• Proficientskillsinreadingconstructiondrawings,specifications,submittals,anddatasheets.
• Experienceinlayoutofelectricalequipmentandsystems,includingdesign/buildconceptssuchaselectricalone - linesandfeeder/branchcircuitanalysis.
• Outstandinginterpersonalskills,toincludeexcellentverbalandwrittencommunication.
• Problem- solvingcapabilitiestoidentifyandresolveproblemsinananalyticalandtimelymatter,byskillfullyanalyzingandprovidingalternativesolutions.

Summary:

TheEstimatorwillanalyzeconstructionblueprintstodeterminethequantityandcostofmaterialsandfixturesneededaswellastheamountoflaborrequiredtocompleteeachbidandworkwiththecustomerstoreceivecontracts.TheestimatorwillalsohelpimplementmeasurestoincreasetheCompanyseffectivenessandefficiency.

Education&Experience:

• Minimum(8)yearsofelectricalindustryestimatingexperience.
• Experienceinlargecommercial,industrial,orwatertreatmentispreferred
• WorkingknowledgeofelectricalestimatingsoftwaresuchasAccubid.
• AnassociatesorbachelorsdegreeinrelatedfieldoranElectricalJourneymansLicense.

EssentialFunctions:

• Create/reviseestimates,proposals,andchangeordersforcurrentandprospectivejobs.
• Workwithbusinessdevelopmentandprojectmanagementtobuildproposalsthatincludeaccuracyinlabor,time,andmaterials.
• Identifyprojectcosttrendstoassistmanagementincostreductionandprocessimprovementsacrossprojectsandteam.
• Responsibleforprojecthandoffbetweenestimatingandprojectmanagementonceprojectisawarded.
• Requestmaterialandequipmentquotesfromvendorsandequipmentsuppliers.
• Reviewsupplierquotestoconfirmadherencetoquoterequestsandaccuracyofquotesreceived.
• Performtakeoffforindividuallyassignedprojects.
• Overseealltakeoffforteamleadprojects.
• LeadteambidsbyfullyunderstandingtheRFPandbiddocumentsanddelegatingtaskstootherteammembersbasedonexperience &ability.
• Leaddesign/buildbidsbyunderstandingtheRFPandbiddocumentsandbeabletoidentifyandquantifyprojectunknownsorambiguities.
• Trainnewestimatorsinthestrategiesandprocessesoftheestimatingdepartment.
• Weeklyoutreachandfollow -uponpendingbids.

PhysicalRequirements :

• Prolongedperiodssittingatadeskandworkingonacomputer.
• Mustbeabletoliftupto15poundsattimes.

Working/Environment/PhysicalDemandstosuccessfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisjob.Thisisastationarypositionthatrequiresfrequentsittingorstanding,repetitivewristmotions,grasping,speaking,listening,closevision,colorvision,andtheabilitytoadjustfocus.Theemployeemustoccasionallyliftand/ormoveupto25pounds.Employeesinthispositionmustbephysicallyabletoefficientlyperformtheessentialfunctionsoftheposition.
