Planet Healthcare is seeking a travel Paramedic for a travel job in Portage, Wisconsin.

48 hours per week

2x24 or 4x12 schedule

$15/hr + $1100/wk + $60/hr OT = $2180/wk gross @ 48 hrs

Weekend Requirement: every other weekend as needed. Scheduled rotation with weekend days included on/off
Holidays as needed and available
Float Requirement: none - may have need to move to other locations in north and central regions based on staffing levels on scheduled workdays to maximize critical needs
Required certifications needed: Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, Active WI DL in good standing, AHA BLS and AHA ACLS. WI CCP ( Critical Care Paramedic ) Endorsement Preferred. MI Paramedic Certification required. (if candidate has had NREMT-P, is eligible for reciprocity to obtain MI Paramedic licensure)
Minimum experience: One year paramedic experience required- preferred 3 yrs
Education: High School graduate and successful completion of an EMS paramedic program.
Charting system utilized is the Zoll ems Charts platform training will be provided
Crew configurations may be mix of EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, RN/Medic - depending on daily staffing

Summary of position: Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients. Provides ongoing assessment and required documentation of patient care. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate. Initiate and implement interventions based on protocols. Assists with treatments and tests ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties after demonstration of clinical competency and in accordance with hospital and professional scope of practice. Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction, and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
