Salary:

Step into a dynamic role as a Government Audit Associate at Abdo, where you'll engage in a variety of professional auditing tasks that are essential to ensuring the integrity of financial data for our local government clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Leverage college-acquired technical knowledge to develop a robust understanding of technical and operational concepts, enabling the proficient execution of assigned audit tasks
• Prepare audit workpapers that adhere to professional standards, clearly outlining scope, objectives, procedures, and insights, including tickmark and workpaper cross references
• Communicate with clients on-site, by phone, or via e-mail to obtain accurate and relevant supporting documentation to support workpaper conclusions
• Draft audit reports and other engagement documents
• Compile and import trial balance information from client software programs into Abdo software
• Perform analytical and detailed work with numerical data efficiently and accurately
• Utilize and develop a functional understanding of firm software and internal work flow/procedures to manage binder documentation and maintain client information
• Accurately report and release billable and non-billable time consistently while meeting productivity standards
  
• Build knowledge of the government industry, how governments operate, and how they differ from one another
  
• Provide training and assistance to other team members

Ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Plans to pursue, or already pursuing CPA certification (preferred)

Additional Information:

At Abdo, we are committed to providing fair, transparent, and competitive compensation that reflects the unique skills and experiences of each candidate.The estimated base pay range for this role is $63,000 - $73,000 per year. Offers are typically made below the maximum to allow room for future compensation increases in the role. The compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, skills, and business needs.

All employees have the opportunity to earn discretionary bonuses based on demonstration of extraordinary performance, special projects or significant importance, or other major accomplishments.
