This position is responsible for assisting regional Customers with technical issues related to the startup maintenance overhaul repair and troubleshooting of centrifugal rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors.
Responsibilities Include:
With a high degree of customer service install and service air compressors air compressor products and accessories
Provide on site technical support service preventative maintenance testing and repair of customer s air compressor equipment
Act as a source of knowledge for customers and coworkers with the ability to explain system capabilities and operations along with features and benefits
Understand customer needs answer questions recommend corrective actions and optimize sales to exceed customer expectations
Complete all necessary paperwork including work orders service orders customer contracts and company forms
Consistently exhibit professional appearance and conduct
Follow all safety procedures environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations
Manage unused materials
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of air compressor service technician experience required
Knowledge of air compressor or other pneumatic mechanical equipment with strong electrical knowledge
preferred
Technical aptitude analytical ability problemsolving and process analysis skills are essential
Ability to comprehend and utilize written technical information in the form of technical manuals parts
books and relevant publications is essential
Solid understanding of how to create a highly satisfied customer
Strong communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information
clearly and effectively
Experience using mechanic tools basic hand tools pipe installation tools and equipment maintenance
knowledge required
Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Ability to travel to customer sites offsite meetings companyrelated functions at times with short notice
Must be selfmotivated able to work independently within a teamfocused environment
Good handeye coordination excellent manual dexterity able to work with small detailed objects
Ability to move frequently including walking stooping bending squatting and kneeling; lift 25 to 50
pounds
Must Maintain a valid driver s license and good MVR
