Position Description

Division: Brannan Sand & Gravel

Position: Recruiter

Reports To: HR Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time/ Exempt

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000/yearly

Position Summary:

The Recruiter will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, sourcing top talent, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Talent Sourcing: Utilize various channels and tools to identify and attract top talent, including social media, job boards, networking and partnerships.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Collaborate with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies aligned with business objectives and workforce planning.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Conduct thorough candidate assessments through interviews, screenings, and reference checks to ensure alignment with role requirements and organizational culture.
  • Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate management, interview coordination, offer negotiation, drug screen and background scheduling, and onboarding.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and provide regular reporting on recruitment metrics and KPIs.
  • Employer Branding: Represent the organization positively and professionally to candidates, promoting our employer brand and value proposition.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior members of the recruiting team, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
  • Manage ATS to ensure integrity throughout the recruitment process
  • Develop and implement more effective recruitment strategies to stay relevant in the industry
  • Partner with hiring managers and leadership to ensure competitive wages
  • Provide regular updates to all hiring managers about candidates
  • Conduct new hire orientation for Brannan employees as needed
  • Compile and complete all new employee paperwork accurately and efficiently as needed
  • Source and Attend job fairs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, assessment, and closing candidates for various roles and levels.

  • Proficiency in utilizing recruitment tools and technologies, including applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media platforms, and sourcing databases.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate ambiguity and changing business needs while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all recruitment activities.
  • Team player mentality with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the broader organizational context in which recruitment operates.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering an exceptional candidate experience and meeting the needs of internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and accurate Date Entry
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Education and/or Training:
  • 2+ years' experience in Recruiting, preferred
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree with a certification in SHRM, preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to attend local hiring events.
